Mormon Prom 2012

Love this event!  It is such a great way for kids to get dressed up and enjoy a wholesome, fun, formal evening!  Katie went with Gable Prach this year and they made quite the handsome couple! Katie found the way she wanted her hair done on Pintrest and we watched the tutorial and then, yes, I did it!  I may be a college graduate, but I never received any formal training for hair.  I think it turned out fairly well - don't you?

All of the priests in Gable's ward got together to do a group dinner - 6 couples total!  He came to pick Katie up, exchanged corsages, boutonnieres and had a brief photo shoot.

Getting the pin to go in just right is a bit of a trick! It took a few tries but they finally figured it out! We then followed Katie and Gable to the place of gathering with the other couples.

The last couple was a little late and so they weren't in these pics.  Of course we also had to have a shoe shot.  Katie had found some Toms that were in a silver glitter to match her dress.  Nothing like a little comfort while breaking a move!

This was how Gable asked Katie - she responded with a crossword puzzle that said Yes in 15 other languages hidden in the middle of a cake.

Mormon Prom is such a great idea! If our stake/ward doesn't have something similar by the time Lydia is at that stage, I'm definitely organizing one myself. And Katie's dress and hair do are so beautiful. Hope everyone had a great time.
